New for 2024, the 688 Performance is the latest model in Beretta’s line of premium under/over shotguns. This stylish and modern under/over replaces the traditional walnut stock with a laminated birchwood making 688 Performance more rigid and giving the shotgun a luxurious aesthetic. The stock also features a B-Fast adjustable cheek piece for proper alignment between the shooter’s eye and the sight. The laminated birchwood is perfectly paired with the glossy blued steel of the receiver and barrels. In addition to looking good, the steel receiver provides more weight and better balance by positioning the center of mass directly between the shooters hands. This makes the gun easier to swing and track fast moving targets. The 688 Performance’s barrels are made from Beretta’s exclusive tri-alloy “Steelium” steel – a material the guarantees smoother ballistics, reduces recoil and muzzle rise, and ensures a lifetime of reliable service. The barrels are fitted with OCHP chokes (5 are included) for optimal shot pattern density.
